Why a BID ?

We are excited to announce the formation of a Property based Business Improvement District (BID) in the North La Cienega neighborhood. We have officially started the process with the City of Los Angeles and are now approaching all stakeholders to gather feedback and support. The purpose of the BID is to maximize the potential of our neighborhood that is in the heart of Los Angeles. With a rich history in Interior Design, Decorative Arts, and Fashion this neighborhood is home to some of the region’s premier dining, showrooms and retail locations.

Our goal is to make this a priority destination for businesses and patrons through the following strategies:

  • Clean & Safe-Bike & Vehicle patrols and Cleaning crews

  • Maintain Local Businesses & Attract New Businesses

  • Grow the Neighborhood

The Opportunity

COVID-19 has been detrimental to our businesses and way of life. It has also highlighted the importance of high quality streets, sidewalks, and public space in our everyday routine and retail experiences. Through urban design interventions, North La Cienega Blvd has the opportunity to become one of Los Angeles’most iconic destination streets.

The Vision

North La Cienega Will Celebrate Its Design Legacy And Invite Patrons To Explore, Discover, And Gather.

As a first step in re imagining one potential future of North La Cienega Blvd, our team engaged with the design firm Gensler to envision what a pedestrian-oriented, beautifully landscaped, and activated “street of the future” could look and feel like. This design vision is a speculative scenario in which sidewalks are widened to welcome al fresco dining, public art installation attract visitors, cultural events activate public spaces, digital ad revenue supports the district, and immersive eye-catching graphics enhance the corridor and strengthens neighborhoods identity.
